Bridge Wizard V7 — MAKOv2 Lock-and-Mint (BSC → Loop)

Last Updated: October 21, 2026 at 08:55 PM EDT

The BSC→Loop leg of MAKOv2's cross-chain bridge: lock BNB or LOOP on BSC, mint MAKOv2 on Loop Network via a governance-controlled adapter — replacing the original market-swap delivery model with a lock-and-mint design. Mechanically live on mainnet; not yet public-production authorized.

Mechanically live on BSC↔Loop mainnet, but not public-launch-ready — still under development ownership, mid controlled live validation, with final independent IV&V and a MAKO Core sufficiency determination still ahead of any real ownership cutover.

Milestones

1-6
Core contracts, IV&V, and on-chain registrationAdapter, router, and relayer built and tested. Independent IV&V reached an explicit PASS after four remediation rounds (zero Critical/High/Medium/Low). Adapter registered and a bounded Stage 1 mint ceiling raised, both independently verified on-chain.

Controlled live engineering validation9 of 10 scenarios complete (all except one that is separately deferred). A real RPC-degradation proceed/cancel dialog is now built and confirmed live in production — the operator chose to proceed through degraded Loop RPC and the action queued correctly. The remaining scenario is weighed at the MAKO Core sufficiency determination, not an engineering gap.

Final IV&V and MAKO Core sufficiency determinationIndependent IV&V has failed on repeated rounds (most recently Round 9, 2026-10-02); the Round 10 candidate frozen 2026-10-03 was itself superseded the next day by a newer candidate. MAKO Core's structured pre-review process continues: its 2026-10-04 response to Bridge's latest memo withheld deploy approval pending ten findings; by 2026-10-05 the findings were answered or closed, except one that stays open until the final candidate is announced; closed items include correcting the Site5 cron interval for both bridge legs to the required 15-minute minimum (applied 2026-10-05) and the last finding's dead-code/logical-operator review. The one batch commit (not yet started), a fresh IV&V-ready freeze, and MAKO Core's blind pre-review all remain ahead before any new IV&V task order. No evidence of asset compromise; the core cryptographic/economic design remains independently confirmed sound. As of 2026-10-16 the formal IV&V request for the next round has not yet been filed, and this milestone remains RED. Governance ownership cutover and public production remain blocked pending that process.

Governance ownership cutoverTrue multisig/timelock activation — adapter, vault, and router ownership transfer, then a post-cutover canary.

Relationship to MAKO Web

This roadmap covers MAKO Bridge's own build/validation work. Once public production is authorized, this leg will be handed to the MAKO Web Team for integration into the live site, following the same request/answer/ POA&M handoff pattern already used for Contract Scan. It does not yet appear on the live site's product surface — this page tracks the work required before that handoff can happen.
